Two outstanding classical symphonies
Experience an evening of classical masters performed on period instruments, creating a fresh listening experience that will delight and surprise. Mozart’s “Haffner” symphony of 1782 features all the style and playfulness one expects from the prodigious composer. Though following in Mozart and Haydn’s footsteps, you will hear that Beethoven is already pushing the boundaries of the classical genre in his first symphony from 1800.
This concert is made possible in part by the Houston Endowment and the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
